This position supports a local CPA firm in Beaverton where you’ll review tax returns and financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submission to the IRS. You’ll play a key role in identifying issues, solving problems, and helping improve the quality of tax work across the team.
What You’ll Do
- Review individual, business, and potentially estate tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Verify calculations, deductions, credits, and supporting documentation
- Identify inconsistencies or unusual items and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure all returns align with current federal and state tax regulations
- Collaborate with preparers to provide feedback and support professional development
- Assist in reviewing complex returns and financial statements prepared by others
- Communicate findings clearly and help improve overall tax preparation quality
