Job Full Description
A client of ours in Sherwood is looking to add a Final Assembly Mechanic to their team. This position is perfect for a mechanically inclined individual who is looking for a position that provides variety every day and the ability to strengthen your current skills!
This is an evaluation to a full-time hire position
Duties:
- Assembling and installing heavy equipment and large assemblies
- Working on a forklift attachments, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the sequence and methods of assembling products
- Inspecting assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):
- 1-2 years experience in mechanic/assembly work
- Setting up, and operating fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers to cut, bend, block, form, or straighten materials
- Ability to shape metal material over the anvil, block, or other forms
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay: $24 - $28/hr. per DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
