Job Full Description
A client of ours in Sherwood is looking to add a Manual Machinist their team. This company is looking for someone who is self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment!
This is an evaluation to full time hire opportunity
Duties:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling products.
- Installing assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints.
- Inspecting assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications
- Running a Horizontal Boring Mill or Running a Vertical Lathe.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Have experience setting up and operating fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block, and form, or straighten materials.
- 3+ years setting up and operating: Lathes, horizontal mills, vertical mills a Horizontal
- Experience handling and setting up large parts
- Experience working with steel and/or heavy metals
- Work with engineers for tooling specs
- Must be able to work with limited supervision
- Lifting up to 50lbs
Pay: $24-$30/hr. DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6 AM-2:30 PM
