Our client in Tualatin is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their family-run company. This company has been providing quality machining services for over 50 years, specializing in custom engineering and machining solutions. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual machining equipment to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a high level of expertise in machining techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Location: Tualatin
Pay: $25 - $30/hr+ DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to ensure they meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist. Any of all of the experience below is ideal.

- Horizontal boring mill experience.
- Manual engine lathe experience.
- Experience running Southwester Industries/Prototrak mills and/or lathes.
- Surface grinder experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle machining tasks.
