Job Full Description
Our client in Sherwood wants to add a General Laborer to their team. If you are interested in automotive and recycling, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this could be the job for you!
This is an evaluation for a hiring position.
Duties:
- Vehicle Prep: Remove tires, drain all fluids (gas, oil, coolant, etc.), remove wiring and catalytic converters. Set vehicles in the yard for customer access.

Crush Process Support: After customer access, vehicles go to the crush operator (not your role). Use sweepers to clean up glass, everyone participates.

General Maintenance: Includes cleaning, sweeping, breaking down boxes, and other upkeep tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Remove Freon, fluids, batteries, and trash.
- Drain: Extract all vehicle fluids and catalytic converters.
- Position vehicles for customer access and clean up afterward.
- Remove tires, motors, transmissions, heater cores, copper wire, and other core items.
- Dismantle engines/transmissions, harvest wire, and sort materials.
- Separate tires from rims, remove weights/stems, and prep for shipment.
- Clean up, remove debris, and ensure safety in customer areas.
- Assist customers, maintain logs, manage stormwater controls, and help with equipment upkeep.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Mechanically inclined or car part knowledge - preferred
- Dependable. reliable, hardworking.
- Someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
- Ability to lift 50lbs+
Pay: $21.00/hr.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
