Summary of what the position is:
A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a CDL - A driver to their team. This opportunity is perfect for self-starters and those who can take the initiative.
Type of placement: Evaluation to hire
Location: Tualatin
Duties:
Operate forklift
Treating customers in a friendly and professional manner, you are the face of our company
Conducting a safe work zone during each pickup and drop location
Adhering to assigned delivery schedule
Completing a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck are in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
Providing the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery
THIS POSITION DOES NOT REQUIRE OVER THE ROAD TRAVEL
The schedule does reflect 1-2 trips into Eastern Washington per month that are over night stays with lodging provided at area hotels.
Must be able to lift 30-100 pounds, not all customers will have a forklift or a lifting hand
Occasional loading and unloading of trailers with a hyster at our branch locations or locally at our yard
Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to work Monday – Friday
Previous driving experience is preferred, Must have your CDL A License with manual transmission endorsement
Strong work ethic
Ability to come to work and perform duties during adverse weather conditions such as snow and ice. Stays on task.
Pay: $25-$30 per hour DOE
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
