Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate in this role will perform a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment
- This maintenance mechanic will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficiently by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following diagrams, reading operations manuals and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follow diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s instructions
- Machine installation and repair, maintenance and facilities repair, including electrical, mechanical, welding, and fabrication of special parts as needed
- Troubleshoot electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of failures and recommend solutions for repair
- Repair facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds
- Operating equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, rebar shear, cage machines, and band saw
- Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of equipment and work areas
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous maintenance experience with industrial equipment in manufacturing environment required
- Industry basic: welding, electrical repairs, pneumatics, hydraulics, crane repair, forklift repair and metal fabrication
- Familiar with OSHA regulations and maintain all equipment to be compliant with applicable safety and environmental standards
- Ability to read/write simple instructions and communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs periodically throughout the day
