Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Aurora
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay: $28-35/hr. DOE
About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to support the efficient operation of facilities, equipment, and vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and committed to supporting the mission of delivering sustainable and productive agricultural products.
This position involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of mechanical systems, as well as collaboration with leadership when specialized expertise is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery, equipment, vehicles, and buildings
- Diagnose and repair systems including engines, electrical, hydraulics, air brakes, drivetrains, suspensions, chassis, clutches, pumps, PTOs, transmissions, and differentials
- Maintain accurate records for repairs, services, and maintenance performed
- Communicate equipment issues, progress, and significant damage to supervisors in a timely manner
- Coordinate with supervisors when outside vendors or specialized expertise is required
- Complete all required company, business, and regulatory documentation accurately and legibly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including tools and equipment
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Provide excellent internal customer service via phone, email, and text communication
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection when assigned (facial hair must not interfere with proper fit)
- Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma plus 5 years of related lead experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong automotive and mechanical skills
- Ability to provide and use own tools (basic automotive tools required)
- Valid Oregon Driver License
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading teams or projects
- Manufacturing environmental experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, speak)
- Welding experience using various methods
- Electrical experience
- Carpentry experience
- Strong commitment to safety and protection of company property and equipment
