Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local steel fabrication company in Canby to hire experienced MIG and TIG Welders. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders looking for steady work in a fabrication-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel components and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and basic fabrication drawings
- Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, and fit-up
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality, strength, and accuracy
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with shop and production teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
- Prior MIG and/or TIG welding experience (manufacturing or fabrication preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols
- Experience welding carbon steel; structural or shop welding experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
