Our client, based in Tualatin, is a manufacturing organization that values accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement. They are seeking a Document Control Specialist to support manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation and ensuring proper document control processes are followed across departments.
EVALUATION TO HIRE ROLE.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and control files containing the latest revision level documentation required to define product configuration and manufacturing processes
- Review documents to ensure accuracy and proper revision control
- Distribute current documentation to appropriate internal users in a timely manner
- Remove obsolete documentation from circulation
- Maintain computerized databases to allow quick and accurate document retrieval
- Enter new part numbers with appropriate supporting documentation
- Update item master records, including product codes and make or buy designations
- Perform bill of materials comparisons upon request
- Scan and electronically file documents in accordance with record retention requirements
- Maintain documentation for customer approved deviations and manufacturing redlines
- Create work order packets with correct and current documentation
- Recommend process and documentation improvements with a focus on continuous improvement
- Support document handling across departments as needed throughout the workday
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience supporting manufacturing operations or documentation systems
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong experience organizing electronic and hard copy filing systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using computers, scanners, copiers, and related office equipment
- Ability to create routine reports and correspondence
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Team oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and stoop for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk documentation and record books to multiple departments throughout the day
Schedule and Employment Type
Monday- Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay
$20-22/ DOE
