Job Full Description
A client of ours in Wilsonville is looking to add a Technician to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanic/technician experience. You will be doing basic math with a high level of mechanical aptitude. If you are a reliable and motivated individual, then this is the position for you!
This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity!
Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment (including replacing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings and supporting automation) as needed.
- Perform equipment setups as directed.
- Support the maintenance systems and perform activities as needed.
- Work with maintenance and process engineering to troubleshoot and repair system failures.
- Collect and enter data as needed to support procedures and engineering tests.
- Interact with employees in a positive manner.
- Train employees on using technical equipment (Automation, CNC and other machines).
- Perform other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):
- HS Diploma or GED
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Good communication and English skills (both verbal and written).
- General understanding of how the equipment works.
- Ability to handle tedious tasks.
- Ability to work with others and alone.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs occasionally
- Well organized with basic to moderate knowledge of computers and PLCs.
- Some college or special training in mechanics is preferred.
- High level of mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret documents (written in English) such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Computer application users including email
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 PM
