Leading specialty pharmaceutical organization is in need of a Quality Assurance Lead to join their team on 1st shift!   The schedule for the 1st shift Quality Assurance Lead is 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday with overtime and double time available on the weekends.

Job Summary: 

The Quality Assurance Lead performs quality assurance procedures according to written procedures; documents inspection results; recognizes routine deviations from procedures and takes appropriate action. The Quality Assurance Lead is also responsible for training and coaching other Quality Assurance Technicians, as well as acts as a liaison between the production floor and Quality Assurance department. The Quality Assurance Lead upholds company core values of integrity, collaboration, accountability, innovation, results oriented, and excel through Quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs inspection of manufacturing, packaging, and testing activities associated with the manufacturing of solid dose and liquid drug products
  • Sample raw materials and packaging components
  • Release controlled printed materials to packaging
  • Performs real-time batch record review
  • Trains and coaches new and existing Quality Assurance team members on appropriate procedures and company standards
  • Acts as a liaison between production floor and quality team to ensure production is on schedule.
  • Meets regularly with other departments and department heads to coordinate production schedules and changes in production 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Detail oriented with well-developed organizational skills
  • Must be flexible and capable of adapting to changes that occur due to changing business needs
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing floor environment is desirable
  • Experienced in writing reports and memos using standard business language, grammar, and punctuation
  • Able to effectively verbally communicate to multiple level personnel and departments within the company
  • Must have the ability to relate to and work well with individuals and a diverse workforce in a “team” focused environment
  • Working knowledge of business software packages, such as Word, Excel, and Access, and modern office equipment.
