Job Full Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll, including adjustments, deductions, retroactive pay, and coordination with payroll provider for tax filings.
- Manage incentive compensation data and calculate semi-annual payouts.
- Oversee A/P and A/R processes: review, code, and approve invoices; generate and bill invoices; reconcile vendor statements; and handle collections.
- Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, CRM vs. accounting system data, bank statements, petty cash, and credit card activity.
- Support budget development, perform cost analysis, and prepare reports comparing actuals to budget.
- Prepare and file 1099s, unclaimed property reports, and relevant tax documentation.
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with policies and accepted standards.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend improvements to accounting procedures.
- Provide reporting and analysis to leadership, including hotel tax trend reports.
- Assist with special projects and year-end reconciliations as needed.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 7AM - 3PM
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting required.
- Strong experience in payroll, GL, financial reporting, A/P, A/R, and collections.
- Proficient in GAAP, fund accounting, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ethical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Experience in hospitality or visitor bureau settings is a plus.
