Key Responsibilities for Design Engineers:
- Develop and design mechanical, electrical, or structural components and systems using CAD and engineering analysis tools
- Translate customer, business, and technical requirements into detailed engineering designs
- Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Perform simulations, calculations, and tolerance analyses to validate designs
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-efficient
- Support prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of designs
- Review and approve design changes and engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
- Participate in design reviews and cross-functional project meetings
- Continuously evaluate and improve designs for performance, reliability, and sustainability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or related field)
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer or similar engineering role
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
