Waterjet Operator – $18-$24/hr | Full-Time
Location: Washington, PA
Pay: $18-$24 (based on experience)

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Waterjet Operator for a local manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for preparing and operating a High Pressure Waterjet machine to produce high-quality metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Operate high-pressure waterjet equipment to cut and process metal materials

Load and unload materials and finished parts safely

Set machine offsets, operate controls, deburr parts, and inspect products for quality

Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances

Monitor production to ensure quality standards and production rates are met

Detect equipment malfunctions or machining issues and make adjustments within machine capabilities

Communicate with management, quality teams, and other shop personnel regarding production or quality concerns

Maintain a clean and organized workspace and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment

Communicate production updates and notes to incoming shifts or supervisors

Follow all company safety procedures before and during operation
Skills & Experience Required:
-
CAD programming experience required
-
Waterjet experience preferred but not required
-
Forklift experience required

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances
-
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work independently and follow direction in a team environment
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to safely move and handle large metal sheets and parts using proper equipment

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs when required

Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during the shift

Ability to safely navigate production and shop areas
Education & Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Basic math skills required including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra

Ability to work safely and maintain production standards with minimal supervision
