Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Donora, PA (On-site)
Job Description:
Express Employment is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to support daily human resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with leadership and employees to drive effective HR practices across recruiting employee relations, compliance, performance management, and payroll support. This is a fully on-site position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
- Support employee relations investigations and partner with supervisors on performance issues
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles
- Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and new hire orientation
- Ensure compliance with I-9s and employment documentation
- Support performance management processes, including reviews and corrective actions
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist with OSHA, safety, and workers’ compensation processes
- Maintain employee records in HRIS (Paylocity preferred)
- Support payroll processing and timekeeping accuracy
- Assist with benefits administration and leave tracking (FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Maintain HR metrics, reporting, and support employee engagement initiatives
- Provide light front desk and administrative office support as needed
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Full-time
Pay:
- $55,000 – $70,000 per year
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent employee relations and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity a plus)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
- Office-based role within a manufacturing facility
- Regular interaction with production floor employees and leadership
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
