Job Full Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Workers to join our 2nd shift sanitation team in our meat processing facility. This role is critical to maintaining food safety and regulatory compliance by ensuring all equipment, production areas, and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize food processing equipment, production floors, and work areas to meet USDA, FDA, and company standards.

Disassemble, wash, and reassemble machinery and tools used in meat processing.

Apply appropriate cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely and effectively.

Operate pressure washers, foaming units, and other sanitation tools.

Follow sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and comply with HACCP and GMP guidelines.

Remove and properly dispose of waste materials.

Perform regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance.

Report any safety concerns, maintenance needs, or equipment malfunctions.

Work effectively as part of a team to complete all sanitation tasks before the next shift begins.
Requirements:

Previous experience in sanitation, food processing, or a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced environment.

Must be comfortable handling and working around meat products.

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks.

Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift.

Knowledge of chemical safety and sanitation procedures is a plus.

Must follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE (gloves, masks, aprons, etc.).

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if needed.
