Position Overview

We’re seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service / Loan Operations Representative to support daily branch activities. You’ll play a key part in guiding customers through the application process for personal installment loans and ensuring an efficient, compliant, and professional branch environment.

Location: Summerville, SC
Hours:

  • Mon–Tue, Thu–Fri: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:30 AM–1:30 PM
    Pay: $17/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and advise customers, assess financial needs, and provide information about loan products and repayment terms.
  • Review and assist with loan applications, ensuring required documentation is collected (e.g. government-issued ID, proof of address, pay stubs or income verification).
  • Enter customer and loan data accurately into internal systems; maintain comprehensive and organized files.
  • Verify eligibility by assessing creditworthiness and eligibility criteria, supporting decision-making.
  • Explain loan agreements, fixed-rate payment plans, and repayment schedules.
  • Coordinate with branch loan officers for real-time decisions and follow-up tasks.
  • Process loan disbursements, track repayment and payments status, and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in a financial services environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and maintaining positive rapport with all visitors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in finance or customer service is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a financial institution, customer-facing role, or loan-processing position preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document review.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain financial terms clearly.
  • Proficiency with office software (MS Office or Google Suite) and willingness to learn proprietary systems.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and protecting sensitive customer information.
