Litigation Paralegal
Location: Downtown Charleston, SC
Salary: $45,000–$65,000 (depending on experience)
Schedule: In-office
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of the litigation process. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume caseload with strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, organize, and manage litigation documents and case files
- Assist with all stages of the litigation process, including trial preparation
- Maintain case calendars and ensure deadlines are met
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and external parties
- Work collaboratively as part of a fast-paced legal team
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of the litigation process
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Trial experience preferred
- Prior experience with an insurance defense law firm preferred
- Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
- Minimum of three years of paralegal experience preferred
