We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair, specifically with small engines, and possess excellent customer service skills. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various small engine equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engine equipment including lawn mowers, generators, and other related machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and vehicle maintenance to ensure longevity and efficiency of equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Conduct generator repairs and perform automotive repair tasks as needed.
- Utilize soldering techniques for electrical repairs when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and maintain a clean work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in small engine technology.
Requirements
- Prior experience in automotive repair or diesel mechanics
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with dealership-specific machinery is a plus
