Job Full Description
Express Employment is now hiring for Picker/Packers for a hardware company in the West Columbia area. This is a full time, long term position with hours of 8:00am 5:00pm Monday Friday . This position will offer room for growth, great benefits, and monthly employee appreciation events.
This position will be responsible for picking client orders and preparing them to be shipped. Starting pay is $16.00 hourly with room for growth! This position will require Jeans, plain t shirt, and closed toe shoes. This role will be working indoors in a non-climate controlled environment.
Duties include:
- Using a pick ticket printed from the inventory software to pull items from warehouse bins / shelving or orders
- Using RF scanner, cart, pallet jack to move orders through the warehouse
- Packaging and labeling all items to prepare for outgoing shipment
-Wrapping items in tape, protective wrapping, and securing before loading onto outgoing trucks
- Performing general warehouse duties as necessary
Qualifications:
- Ability to use RF Scanner
- Ability to stand throughout entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally throughout shift
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Self-Starter
- Oral and written communication skills
