Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

Position Overview
- The Filer is responsible for organizing, digitizing, and maintaining physical and electronic documents within a large file management system. This role involves working primarily in the file room to process approximately 30,000 documents, ensuring all records are accurately scanned, indexed, and properly stored or disposed of according to company policy.
- This is a repetitive and detail-oriented role, ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve and review physical file folders.
- Adjudicate and organize documents within each file.
- Digitize paper files using document recognition and scanning software.
- Ensure each document is accurately indexed and stored in the correct digital location.
- Dispose of physical files appropriately once digitized.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow company data security policies.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Maintain a neat and organized file room workspace.
Qualifications
Required:
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with digital systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with focus and consistency.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
- Proven record of reliability and job stability.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with scanning, indexing, or data entry.
- Familiarity with document management systems.
- Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily located in the file room environment.
- Frequent bending, standing, and sitting required to retrieve and process files.
- Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Background check: Required.
- Credit history: Must consent to a credit check (no defaulted student loans).
- Drug screening: Not required pre-hire, but subject to random testing.
- HUD Authorization Form: Must be signed prior to start date (form provided).
