Job Title: Light Pole Department Supervisor
Pay: $70,000 - $75,000 to start (increases to $80,000 upon permanent hire)
Employment Type: Evaluation-to-Hire
Shifts Available: Night Shift: 4:00pm - 2:00am

Job Summary:
The Light Pole Department Supervisor is a hands-on working supervisor responsible for overseeing all production operations in the Light Pole Department. The role spends 80% of the time on the production floor and 20% on administrative tasks, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This supervisor leads a large workforce and works closely with area Group Leads to maintain efficient, high-performing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise 40- 50 employees on day shift or 25- 30 employees on night shift
- Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet or exceed shift output goals
- Track, maintain, and manage inventory within the Light Pole Department
- Train and cross-train employees across all tasks and workstations
- Partner with Group Leads to organize workflow, staffing, and shift priorities
- Address employee attendance, behavior, and performance issues professionally
- Ensure timekeeping is completed accurately for all team members
- Pull, review, and report daily production numbers for leadership
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with all manufacturing standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, enforcing company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with the opposite shift to ensure smooth transitions
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
- Work required weekend shifts as part of the department schedule

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of manufacturing lead or supervisory experience (required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to perform hands-on duties while managing administrative responsibilities
- Availability to work weekends and the assigned shift schedule
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in steel, metals, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of production KPIs and daily reporting systems
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement principles

Position Type:
- Evaluation-to-Hire, with pay increasing to $80,000 once permanent
