Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Includes 30-minute lunch and two 10-minute breaks
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate who will also serve as a Backup Non-CDL Driver. This role involves warehouse operations, forklift operation (training provided), order fulfillment, and occasional delivery driving using company box trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down forklift (training provided).
- Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect, check, and pack boxes for shipment.
- Receive and stock incoming inventory.
- Perform stock checks and maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Load and unload materials, including doors and molding weighing up to 150 lbs.
- Serve as backup driver operating 16 ft and occasionally 24 ft non-CDL box trucks (air brakes used infrequently).
- Ensure safe handling and transport of materials during deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Work Environment:
- Fully enclosed, heated warehouse.
- Bay doors and fans for ventilation.
- Clean and organized workspace.
Training:
- On-the-job training provided under warehouse supervisors.
- Forklift certification training available for sit-down forklift operation.
Dress Code:
- Reflective safety vest (provided).
- Jeans or work-appropriate pants (shorts permitted during summer).
- Closed-toe shoes required.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 150lbs (team lift when necessary).
- Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must pass background check (no violent felonies; no theft convictions within the past 7 years; no drug charges within the past 5 years).
- May be required to complete a DOT physical.
