Job Title: Production Operator O-Ring Department
Location: Main Building
Department: O-Ring Manufacturing
Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:00am - 2:30pm
Pay: $18hr
Job Summary:
The Production Operator in the O-Ring Department is responsible for performing hands-on manufacturing operations to produce high-quality O-rings. This role involves operating welding and machining equipment, reading technical drawings, performing physical tasks, and ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate flash welding and precision resistance welding equipment
- Perform flash weld removal and hand polish O-rings to specification
- Cut coils and prepare materials for production
- Perform drilling and related machining operations
- Read and interpret production drawings and work instructions
- Conduct hands-on assembly and finishing operations
- Perform physical lifting and material handling as required
- Inspect parts for quality and accuracy throughout the production process
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience with welding, machining, or finishing operations a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and physical labor, including lifting
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and work instructions
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Manual dexterity for precision hand work and polishing
