Job Title: Production Operator Nuclear RPV
Location: Columbia 29209
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Operator to support manufacturing operations for Nuclear Reactor Pressure Vessel (RPV) components. This role involves hands-on production work, including finishing, shaping, drilling, and crate assembly. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hand polish nuclear RPV parts to required specifications
- Shape and form metal rings
- Perform drilling operations using appropriate tools and equipment
- Build and assemble wooden crates for product storage and shipment
- Pack finished products securely into crates
- Follow all safety guidelines and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
- Carpentry experience is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Work Environment:
- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
