Job Full Description
Express Employment is now hiring a Grounds Maintenance Technician for an airport facility in the West Columbia, SC area! This is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining safe, well-kept grounds. No prior airfield experience is requiredcomprehensive training is provided.
Pay: $20.00/hr
Schedule:
Summer: MondayFriday | 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
Winter: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Paid 1-hour lunch
Job Duties:
-Operate commercial riding mowers
-Perform weed eating, trimming, and mulching
-Complete general grounds maintenance and landscaping
-Maintain airport and airfield property
-Follow all airfield safety procedures and regulations
Requirements:
-Valid driver's license required
-Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
-Ability to pass a TSA background investigation
-Pass a 7-panel drug screen, TB test, and physical examination
-Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Training Provided:
-Commercial mower and landscape equipment operation
-Airfield safety and runway procedures
-Airport control tower communication
-OSHA and airport-specific safety training
