Maintenance Crew Leader
Large Industrial Plant, Preferred Employer – Alcoa, TN
Express Employment is seeking a Maintenance Crew Leader for a large industrial plant located in Alcoa, TN.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM)
- Rotational schedule: 2 days on / 2 days off, followed by 5 days on / 5 days off
- Training will be conducted on day shift
Job Description
The Maintenance Crew Leader will:
- Supervise electrical craft, mechanical craft, and production employees
- Provide technical troubleshooting and maintenance support for plant operations
- Execute planned and unplanned work to meet department goals
- Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime
- Develop problem-solving solutions and follow up on equipment issues
- Provide on-call response for critical maintenance situations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing methods
- Ensure compliance with EH&S, quality, and company policies
- Take on special projects and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications/Basic Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Verifiable supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Previous work experience in a similar role
- 5+ years of heavy industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- Knowledge of PLCs and hydraulic systems
- Supervisory experience in a union environment
- Supervisory experience with production employees
