Now Hiring: Operator Apprentice
Location: Dayton, TN
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40–60 Hours/Week
Pay: Based on experience and dependability (to be discussed during interview)
Express Employment Professionals in Dayton, TN is seeking a dependable and motivated Operator Apprentice to join a hardworking local excavation crew. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning the trade and growing into an equipment operator role over time.
Job Responsibilities:

Assist equipment operators by spotting and guiding machines safely

Perform general labor duties such as laying pipe, setting forms, and maintaining the jobsite

Keep tools, trucks, and trailers clean, organized, and ready for use

Learn by observing and participating in high-quality excavation work
This is a physically demanding, hands-on job. Work takes place outdoors in all weather conditions — hot, cold, wet, or muddy — and requires a strong team mindset.

Physically able to lift, dig, and move materials safely

Respectful to the crew, customers, and property

Comfortable working outdoors year-round

Must be drug-free with a clean driving record

Experience pulling a trailer or operating a work truck is a plus

Must be 21 years of age or older
Schedule:

Start time: 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday

40–60 hours per week, depending on workload
