Job Title: Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant

Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift
About the Position
Our Dayton Express Employment is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and has hands-on experience in anesthesia monitoring. You will play a vital role in supporting veterinarians, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and diagnostics
- Perform patient restraint, sample collection, and laboratory tests
- Prepare surgical suites and maintain sterile environments
- Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding patient status and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow clinic safety protocols
- Support daily clinic operations including equipment cleaning and inventory
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work 1st shift
Preferred:
- Credentialed/Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT)
Compensation
- Uncertified Veterinary Assistant/Tech: $15–$20/hr (based on experience)
- Certified Veterinary Technician: $20–$24/hr (based on experience)
