Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain press machines used in the metal fabrication process, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press machines to fabricate metal parts according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust machine parameters, dies, and tooling for optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Inspect finished parts for quality and ensure they meet required tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Monitor production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and solve production challenges.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a press operator in a metal fabrication environment.
- Familiarity with metal types, fabrication techniques, and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
