Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paints and coatings to various surfaces and products, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to industry standards. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required.
- Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve desired colors and consistency.
- Apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Inspect surfaces and finished work to ensure quality and uniformity.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools.
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in painting and coating is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial or commercial painting.
- Proficiency in various painting techniques and the use of painting equipment.
- Strong knowledge of paint mixing, color matching, and surface preparation.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced coating technologies and materials.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in the painting industry.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
