Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking reliable, efficient, and industrious candidates for an Technology Support Specialist position with an established medical manufacturing company. This position will pay $21.64 / hour and the hours are M-F from 8:30 A.M.- 4:30 P.M.
Responsibilities:
- Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues within our proprietary software and hardware
- Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
- Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
- Talk clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or teams, until they’ve solved a technical issue
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g., HL7 interface, training, management, etc.)
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
- Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
- Ensure all issues are properly logged
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Prepare and implement all PC’s required by our operations team for new customer purchases.
- Carry out a program to upgrade all existing customers to the latest version of our software.
- Document technical knowledge in an online wiki
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Experience of SQL Server both standard and express
- Scripting languages (Lua)
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
- Is a quick, self-motivated learner who wants to work for a company that will invest in your education.
