Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking candidates for an Apprentice Carpenter position with a Commercial and Industrial Contractor in White Bluff, TN. This position will pay $18.00 per hour, and the hours are Monday - Thursday from 6:30AM-4:30PM. Travel is involved and any out of town travel will receive $25 a day per diam and a paid hotel room.
Responsibilities:
- Assist foreman and crew with day-to-day tasks on the job site
- Measure, cut, and prepare sheet metal and other materials
- Sort, organize and stage tools and supplies; help build parts and components as directed
- Perform basic construction support tasks such as retrieving tools, supplies, and materials
- Will travel with Foreman for projects in Nashville, Bon Aqua, Columbia, Centerville and surrounding areas
- Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must have previous construction experience
- Able to work in a crew of 2-4 people
- Able to complete random drug tests and safety orientation
- Has own tools (snips, pliers, etc.), tool belt, measuring tape
- Capable of working mostly outdoors
- Capable of physical movements such as reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting products above the shoulders if necessary
- Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE
