Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is currently seeking reliable, industrious, and efficient candidates for a Temp to Hire Packer position with a Leading Metal Production Facility. This position will pay $20 per hour, and candidates must be able to work 3 days on 3 days off from 7:00 A.M.- 7:00 P.M.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, grade, weigh and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
- Stamp identification codes to finished packages or items
- Cut stencils and place stencil information on containers such as lot numbers or shipping destination
- Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation and replenish packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, pallets, ink or labels
- Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
- Record finished and rejected packaged items
- Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential
Qualifications:
- Capable of routinely lifting materials up to 60 lbs.
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Follows written and verbal communications and instructions.
- Capable of regularly required physical demands to sit or stand, walk, bend and climb, reach and grasp.
- Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Steeled toed shoes/boots, and Safety Eyewear
