Machine Operator
Pay: $18-19 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift Opportunities Available
Position Summary
We are seeking reliable and motivated Machine Operators to join our production team. No prior experience is required. We will provide training for individuals who are eager to learn, work safely, and contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively with team members to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate multiple machines to sort product according to customer requirements.
- Ensure product is free of mixtures and defects.
- Start machines and perform daily checks to identify malfunctions; report issues to supervisors promptly.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple machine setups to ensure proper operation.
- Complete Camera Verification.
- Prepare products for shipment while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Weigh and inspect finished goods.
- Maintain accurate production records as required.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, sanitized, and safe at all times.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- No experience required; manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including:
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Calculating rates, ratios, and percentages
- Reading and interpreting bar graphs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following safety procedures.
