Job Summary
A tool company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Programmer to join their team in Bristol, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to support efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This position works closely with engineering, machining, and production teams to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC machine programs for production.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to maximize efficiency and part quality.
• Set up and troubleshoot machining programs as needed.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve manufacturing processes.
• Perform program verification and make adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain program documentation and revision records.
• Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and improve productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers preferred.
• Proficiency with CAM software and G-code programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or machining certification is a plus.
