About the Role - We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication and a collaborative mindset are essential, as this role requires close coordination with departmental teams to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Perform key accounting functions, including posting journal entries, account reconciliations, budgeting, cash management, and workers' compensation audits.
- Conduct financial analyses, long-term cash flow forecasting, and P&L reporting.
- Oversee and monitor insurance renewals and claims for institutional and individual clients.
- Deliver weekly client communications, including cash reports and updates.
- Review and summarize client agreements for internal use.
- Prepare, review, and approve budgets, shareholder payroll, and 1099 reports.
- Support and oversee the onboarding process for new clients.
- Collaborate with management to record and assess estate planning activities, asset acquisitions, and investments.
- Monitor cash management activities, including credit card usage, fraud alerts, and credit score tracking.
- Review and verify work completed by Staff Accountants (AP/AR, cash receipts, payroll, etc.).
- Supervise the preparation and accuracy of commission calculations and payments.
- Support payroll processing and related journal entries.
- Maintain detailed logs of all filings and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients' trusted advisors.
- Review and qualify annual financial statements for tax reporting purposes.
- Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and alignment with company values and culture.
- Proven ability to manage client communications is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Music Business with a strong academic background.
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience in public/private firms or the entertainment industry, OR 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience with high-net-worth individuals.
