Job Full Description
Position Title: Medical Assistant – Float
Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and dependable Medical Assistant – Float to support both front and back office operations. This role works closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow, high-quality care, and accurate documentation. The float position will travel between clinic locations in Davidson County. Experience with eClinicalWorks is highly preferred.
Schedule:
Key Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient examinations and treatments

Perform clinical duties under the supervision of a provider or registered nurse

Interview patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document patient information in the medical record

Prepare exam and treatment rooms prior to patient visits

Administer treatments and procedures as ordered by the provider

Document provider encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as directed

Transcribe provider orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications

Support front office operations including answering phones, scheduling, filing, and maintaining patient records

Assist with ordering, stocking, and managing medical supplies

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment

BLS Provider Certification required within 30 days of hire

Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Davidson and Williamson county locations

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Flexibility to float between clinics as needed
