Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant/CPA will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping: Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies; assist with audits and regulatory filings.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing analysis.

Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, manage payroll, and ensure timely vendor payments.

Tax Preparation: Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns; stay updated on tax law changes.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.

Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Certification: CPA designation preferred but not required; candidates pursuing CPA certification are encouraged to apply.

Experience: 1-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
