Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations within our industrial manufacturing yard. This position is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment to move materials, load/unload products, and support general yard and production activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, and other related machinery.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support yard and production operations

Load and unload raw materials, components, and finished goods
-
Move large or bulky items throughout the yard and manufacturing areas

Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance checks

Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate material movements

Assist in general yard duties as needed (e.g., material staging, debris removal)
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting

Valid certifications or licenses for forklifts and other applicable equipment (preferred)

Strong understanding of equipment safety and maintenance

Ability to read and follow instructions, work orders, and safety guidelines

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in outdoor/warehouse conditions

Reliable, punctual, and a team player
Equipment Operated May Include:

Forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, rough terrain)

Scissor Lifts / Aerial Lifts

Skid Steers / Bobcats

Pallet jacks, material movers, and other industrial yard equipment
Work Environment:

Industrial manufacturing yard with outdoor and indoor work areas

Exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noises, and heavy machinery

Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required at all times
