Job Full Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Salesperson to join our team, specializing in the sale of construction and building materials. This role involves working directly with contractors, builders, and customers to identify needs, provide product recommendations, create accurate sales orders, and ensure a smooth order process from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work with computer systems to manage quotes and orders.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with selecting construction and building materials for their projects

Prepare and process sales orders, quotes, and invoices accurately

Maintain a strong knowledge of products, inventory, and pricing

Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors, builders, and other customers

Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs

Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment

Maintain records of sales, follow-ups, and customer interactions in company systems

Support the sales team with day-to-day tasks and special projects as needed

Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitor activity
Qualifications:

Experience in construction, building materials, or a related field required

Prior sales experience preferred but not required

Strong working knowledge of construction materials and terminology

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems (e.g., POS, order entry software)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
