Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel engines and oilfield equipment, with a strong focus on drive shaft repair and fabrication. This role requires hands-on mechanical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including overhauls and complete rebuilds
- Repair, balance, and rebuild oilfield drive shafts and related components
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel equipment and vehicles
- Inspect equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble engine components to manufacturer specifications
- Weld, fabricate, and modify parts as needed for repairs
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards
- Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems
Qualifications
- Experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, and oilfield equipment
- Experience with drive shaft repair, balancing, or fabrication preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Own tools preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
