Job Full Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to transport materials, equipment, and supplies between multiple local locations within the city. This position does not require overnight travel or out-of-town routes. Drivers return home daily and play a key role in supporting daily operations through timely and efficient transportation services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport materials, equipment, and supplies between designated local facilities and job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
- Secure loads properly and ensure cargo is transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel regarding deliveries and scheduling.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when required.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of company vehicles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate manual transmissions and various trailer configurations preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
