Job Title: Logistics Specialist
Location: Plano, TX (Temporary Role from April – July, with potential for extension)
Compensation: $50K annually (approx. $4,166 per month)
Overview:
As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining an efficient and effective supply chain to ensure exceptional customer service. You’ll support vital order-to-cash and procure-to-pay functions within our growing Operations Team. This full-time position will be based at our Plano, TX facility, with a temporary duration from April through July, with the possibility for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end sales order execution for assigned customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment
- Oversee sales order dates, issuance of pick tickets, shipment confirmations, and invoice creation
- Identify cost-effective shipping solutions for both inbound and outbound shipments
- Coordinate all shipping logistics with third-party providers for inbound and outbound shipments
- Schedule delivery appointments for both inbound and outbound shipments
- Provide timely and accurate shipment statuses, ensuring ERP system updates with latest dates and BOL/POD documentation
- Process vendor freight bills and work closely with the Accounts Payable team to resolve any discrepancies
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities within the transportation function
- Analyze historical sales data and forecasts to create a supply plan for designated products
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain operations
- Obtain and track purchase order confirmations, ensuring accurate dates and statuses in the ERP system
- Maintain related master data in the ERP system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred
- Experience with order management/ERP systems (Oracle-NetSuite preferred)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., v-lookups, pivot tables)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and a customer-centric approach
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
