Location: Plano, TX
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

About the Role:

A growing company that supplies air handling and power equipment to data centers nationwide is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the current CFO, who is planning for retirement. The ideal candidate will manage essential financial functions, including accounts payable and receivable, inventory, payroll, and bank reconciliations. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a solid foundation in accounting who is ready to take on greater responsibilities and grow within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage client invoices, track payments, and reconcile accounts.

  • Process purchase orders and vendor invoices; ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, shipping partners, and contractors.

  • Reconcile monthly bank and account statements.

  • Maintain both digital and physical records of financial documents (invoices, receipts, reports, checks).

  • Update and manage inventory records in QuickBooks.

  • Process weekly payroll (every Thursday) and maintain payroll records.

  • Submit payroll taxes and generate necessary reports.

  • Maintain employee financial records and support audit processes.

  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Produce financial reports as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Previous experience in accounting, payroll, and financial reporting.
