Job Title: Materials Handler
Pay: $15–$20/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Materials Handler to support our client's production operations by ensuring the efficient and timely movement of parts, assemblies, and supplies. This role involves handling heavy components, issuing materials to production teams, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, safety-minded, and able to operate equipment such as forklifts and lifts.
Key Responsibilities

Issue and deliver materials to production lines based on schedule requirements

Safely handle large or heavy parts to support operations such as drilling, bending, and deburring

Monitor inventory levels, track materials, and document any shortages or scrap

Maintain accurate records of stock and assist in inventory control activities

Prepare kits for daily or weekly assembly jobs

Coordinate and prioritize daily tasks with minimal supervision
-
Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work environment

Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in materials handling or inventory control

Strong computer skills for routine data entry and inventory tracking

Understanding of material planning and manufacturing documentation

Familiarity with bills of materials and manufacturing systems
-
Ability to identify and resolve material shortages quickly
-
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
-
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Knowledge of Government/Customer Property Control is a plus
-
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift or industrial vehicle licenses
Physical Requirements

Able to lift 30 lbs. or more without assistance

Stand or walk for long periods

Frequently bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, or stretch

Comfortable working at heights using ladders or lifts
