Job Title: Manufacturing Assembly Technician III
Pay Range: $22 – $30 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM


Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Technician III for our client to support the construction, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced microwave products and systems. This role involves performing complex mechanical and technical tasks with minimal supervision, utilizing engineering drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, adjustment, and maintenance of microwave tubes, components, and systems.

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, written instructions, and verbal guidance.

  • Conduct mechanical and performance testing; adapt or develop procedures when necessary.

  • Assist in developing or modifying components to meet internal or customer requirements.

  • Operate various tools and mechanical equipment essential for fabrication and testing.

  • Prepare and assist in handling materials and compounds for etching, metalizing, and other processes.

  • Evaluate mechanical products and establish testing, tuning, and alignment procedures.

  • Recommend product improvements for performance, quality, or manufacturability.

  • Determine construction and processing methods, sequences, and best practices.

  • Design and fabricate specialized tools and fixtures as needed.

  • Analyze and diagnose returned, rejected, or in-process products to support engineering and quality teams.

  • Train and mentor less experienced technicians and provide hands-on technical support.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with test equipment including VNA, PNA, oscilloscope, DVM, and spectrum analyzer.

  • Strong computer literacy and data entry/reporting skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Excellent manual dexterity; experience working under a microscope.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and solve problems independently.


Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent military/technical training.

  • 6–9 years of relevant experience, or a total of 10 years of combined experience and training.

  • Deep familiarity with instruments and equipment used in microwave product manufacturing.
