Job Title: Quality Inspector
Pay: $15–$20/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM


Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform routine inspections of electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, components, hardware, and raw materials. Working under moderate supervision, you will ensure all products meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements using a variety of inspection tools and techniques.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of mechanical and electronic parts, subassemblies, and finished assemblies

  • Verify that components are assembled correctly using standard hardware nomenclature

  • Inspect wiring, soldering, cabling, connectors, plugs, and overall workmanship

  • Conduct basic mechanical and electronic tests and take measurements using appropriate tools

  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and operational documents to confirm compliance with specifications

  • Perform incoming inspection of purchased parts and raw materials

  • Utilize a wide range of inspection tools and equipment per job requirements

  • Follow all written procedures, verbal instructions, and safety guidelines

  • Maintain accurate records of inspection results and report any non-conformances


Inspection Tools & Equipment Used

Depending on the area of operation, you may use:

  • Micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, mechanical gauges

  • Scales, torque wrenches, leak checkers, borescopes, polariscopes

  • Hi-pot testers, continuity checkers, digital multimeters

  • Microscopes, optical comparators, and other standard or specialized instruments


Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical or electronic inspection experience, or a combination of relevant inspection and assembly experience

  • Strong understanding of inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality control procedures

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and drawings

  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently

  • Familiarity with standard inspection practices in a manufacturing or production environment
