Express Employment Professionals is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our Engineering client to help lead the delivery of residential subdivision projects throughout North Texas. This role is ideal for someone with strong Civil 3D skills and local permitting experience who wants a clear, supported path toward becoming a Project Manager.
Your Role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll serve as the link between design production and project delivery—gaining hands-on experience managing projects from concept through construction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting the design of grading, drainage, paving, utility, and erosion control plans using Civil 3D
- Coordinating submissions, permitting, and approvals with North Texas municipalities and regulatory agencies
- Preparing engineering calculations, reports, and technical documentation
- Collaborating with surveyors, utility providers, architects, and other project stakeholders
- Assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, client communication, and overall delivery
- Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing guidance and quality control
- Supporting projects through all phases—from preliminary design through construction
What They're Looking For
- Must have 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design or land development
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (corridors, pipe networks, grading)
- EIT certification required; (Not in process, or about to take the exam)Texas PE license or progress toward licensure preferred
- Experience with residential subdivision projects is a strong plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
